The Grouchy Insurance Guy
“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success”… Henry Ford

The morning gloom remains…affects the spirit..dawn isn’t here yet…and I can just make out the outlines of the barren trees through the hint of light promising a brighter day..but the clouds are still with us from that rarest of rain storms in December that visited us yesterday….yet another day…another gift of life…so long as I keep that in mind…that the day is a gift…I’ll do well..

I’m likely to have to tell a new prospect who owns a riding stable that my carrier (who said they do riding stables) actually won’t….not enough premium for them I’m told…

I was also advised by my Property Manager friend that I was quite uncompetitive on all but one of the Town-home Associations I quoted….but one would be great…nice way to begin the year if I’m a little bit lucky..

Much to do before the end of this year…a year that has passed by all too quickly for my taste…..still have the “shopping”… loose ends with clients needs… and hopefully a new piece of business somewhere along the line….

As is almost always the case, my attention is being drawn to the coming year….in spite of those wisdom dispensers that say we should live in the now…. I’m thinking about the clean slate January offers…. new goals….new opportunities…and new challenges….and hopefully a burgeoning relationship with the partners…..and banner year…..we all hope for that…now we have to “do” something about it..

“Idea” is visiting from the warmth of Arizona next week….a little target shooting with the 9mm’s and dinner….some friendly chat about this and that…..and “Good Guy” is off to California to visit his son……..another nice place to be this time of year if you ask me……

Maybe I should change the name of the blog from the “Grouchy” insurance guy to the “Gloomy” insurance guy…but the Gloominess is a temporary seasonal thing…the grouchiness will likely live on forever….so I’ll stick with the status quo…
