Busy week…but busy good, not busy bad…and today will be no different.. I have to be in Maple Plain at 10:15 to renew an account…. we are moving business we from with one carrier we said goodbye to, to another…and the new carrier has been doing a great job…but when we change companies, we need to see the client; collect money and sign lots of documents…then back to the office to meet a new prospect.. a General Contractor for homes… from an insurance standpoint…. not good.. with all the construction defect claims over the years, this is a difficult class of business to write… but we have carriers so we’ll forge ahead…

It was about 12:30 before I left for my second appointment that “Serious Guy” stopped by….”I can get pretty testy if I have to”..an expression he made after we had left numerous messages for a claims adjuster to follow through on a promise to call one of our clients….I assured him I would handle it… the Adjuster apparently overburdened with phone calls decided to busy out his office and his cell phone…how do I know?… they were busy for three days…so finally we got his boss who promised to take care of everything…..I have every reason to believe he will..so “Serious” doesn’t have to get testy…

Mostly, the week was filled with good things… “Scared of Me Gal” wrote her first life policy, we wrote some other new business, everyone got along downstairs..(Service Department) and one of my partners and I had a beer after work….I’m ready for Friday again….as fast as they come…I’ll spend tomorrow relaxing and my buddy Kim has an annual Super Bowl Party we’ll attend on Sunday…I’m picking the Patriots…they have a history of success….and they function really well as a team.

Next week is filled with hope and promise….amid the day to day challenges that tend to litter the pathway to progress….a little rest and I’ll be ready for whatever comes along….I hope you will too..
